Tony Fadell, who heads the Nest Labs-which was bought by the company a year before, that develops smart devices for the home, will be in charge of developing the possible new versions, along with Ivy Ross who will take care of the visuals. The current prototype will continue to be sold only to companies that want to test. At the time of its release, the product aroused great curiosity among the users. However, after the release of the product, there were discussions around the issues of privacy and security.

Google started selling innovative glasses since may 2013. The following year, they made it available for the general public to buy them from the United states, and two months later in the United Kingdom.
